Issues I Specialize In

A spiderweb that describes how trauma can feel to a person. It's hard to escape.

Trauma/PTSD

Many individuals can and will experience emotions and symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, anger, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger after we experience traumatic events. I've worked with all types of trauma, specifically abuse, sexual violence, critical incidents, combat PTSD. I can help you overcome these and other symptoms through counseling and walk with you through the process of grief and healing. Trauma does not have to rule your life!

Depression & Anxiety

Depression and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we all can experience at various points in our lives. Through counseling and working together, you will  get back your motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life. Depression and anxiety do not have to be soul-zappers for the duration of your life. Utilizing psychoeducation, coping skills, behavioral techniques, and EMDR - you will notice a difference and be the best YOU for yourself and loved ones.

Sexual Abuse/Assault

1 in 10 children undergo sexual abuse  before the age of 18 and 1 in 5 women are sexually assaulted. You may feel as though you are alone, but unfortunately statistics show that it is more common than we may recognize. Shame, fear, trust issues, substance abuse, isolation, etc. are all normal responses to this type of trauma. Utilizing EMDR, CBT, mindfulness, and other counseling techniques begin to alleviate the symptoms from your trauma. You can feel empowered, more in control, and free from shame. It was NOT your choice, but you CAN make the choice to start the healing process!

Counseling for Women's Issues

Being a woman is HARD! No matter the multitude of hats that we wear, things aren't always easy and neither are the expectations that society puts on us and that we put on ourselves. I'm here to help you know and believe how STRONG and BADASS you are! We'll unpack all of the "stuff" that is weighing you down and come out with skills to care for yourself and feel empowered to take over the world. Therapy and counseling don't have to be dirty words. Your mental health is important and you are worth it!

Military/Law Enforcement Populations

I have a very special place in my heart for military and law enforcement populations, because I myself am a military and law enforcement spouse. I know the ins and outs of this special group and understand how difficult it can be to seek counseling. Military and law enforcement members, veterans, and loved ones sacrifice A LOT and experience a myriad of traumas and critical incidents.

If you are struggling, I can help!

Women's Groups

I offer women's groups for individuals who are healing from trauma, women who are looking to obtain healthy relationships, or feeling the stress of everyday life.
